Encoded as UTF-8 bytes. Maximum capacity varies with error correction level (QR versions 1–10).
For best scan reliability, keep the four-module white margin intact. This tool does not create short links, tracking codes or hosted redirects.

QR code generation guide
Enter a URL or text, choose the error correction level, and generate a QR code entirely in your browser. Download a PNG for documents or an SVG for scalable print graphics. No URL shortener, tracking or online QR image service is used. This tool is free to use. No account or payment is required.

QR error correction trades capacity for resilience. L, M, Q and H recover approximately 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% of damaged codewords. A stronger setting can require a larger version for the same text.
SVG scales without losing sharp module edges. PNG sizes are 256, 512 or 1024 pixels; a four-module white quiet zone surrounds each generated QR code.
This generator supports QR Model 2 versions 1 through 10 in UTF-8 byte mode with an ECI UTF-8 marker. Capacity depends on the number of encoded bytes and selected correction level; exceeding supported capacity produces an explicit error.
Some scanners may have limited support for ECI and Unicode. Test the printed or shared code with the intended scanner, especially for non-ASCII text, small sizes or long inputs.
The tool computes its own QR matrix in your browser; raw text, URLs and generated images are not uploaded or included in analytics events. Downloads are static images with no VetaTool-hosted redirect or visit tracking.
QR codes can hide misleading destinations. A visually valid QR image does not establish that its URL is safe or that a remote website is trustworthy.
This example encodes a normal HTTPS URL as static QR data, without shortening or redirecting it.

No. The QR matrix and its PNG/SVG exports are created locally in your browser, with no URL shortening or remote image generation.
Model 2 versions 1 through 10 in UTF-8 byte mode. Text that exceeds the selected error correction level's capacity is rejected with a clear message.
SVG is resolution independent and suited to print/design; PNG is a raster graphic sized 256, 512 or 1024 pixels.
It can encode an untrusted destination. Verify unknown links before scanning or sharing; this tool does not inspect the destination or protect against phishing.
No. The output is a static local QR image, not a short link or hosted redirect, and the tool does not record scan events.
